Reading is important to help prevent the “summer slide,” also known as summer learning loss. Studies show that consistent reading during the summer months can help students maintain or even improve their reading skills, ensuring they return to school ready to learn. Reading during the summer is also fun, not only for school-age children, but for younger children and adults too! Stop by the library and find the perfect book to enjoy during these long summer days! Not sure what book to choose? Ask one of our friendly staff members for assistance! To make it even more exciting, complete and return a SummerQuest form at the library by August 8th and be entered to win some great raffle prizes!
